Entered this as a post to another thread but started a new thread so other new guys can learn from my mistake. The discussion starts with the customary exchange rate of 500c to $1US for the working girls in Costa Rica. Being a newbie, I did not know this and paid my girl a higher exchange rate.

My first night (ever) in San Jose last night. I picked up a short, pretty, energetic tica named Daylin (?) from KL. We negotiated $100 for Toda la noche. I exchanged money at the bank earlier in the day. The exchange rate at the bank was 585c to 1 dollar. When I got back to the room I made two rookie mistakes. The tica demanded I pay her first and I did. The second mistake was that I figured to pay her 55m colones for TDN since the exact conversion was 585m colones. She counted the money before we started and told me I owed her 5000 more colones for 60m total. And yes I gave it to her. Now I know better.

Its funny but after I paid her, I say a dramatic shift in her attitude. The GFE attitude she was giving me all night at KL disappeared and things became very mechanical. Needless to say I did not pop my CR cherry that night. She was drunk and I was tired so we both passed out in no time flat after a very lackluster session.

In the morning, her attitude was mucho better. When she saw I was awake she immediately started in with BBBJ and playing with the huevos. Got the condom on and I banged away in mish, doggie, cowgirl, and spoon. She took the cover off and licked my sac and gave me asian while getting a handjob. I busted a nut with tons of fresh leche. Yah! For what its worth, she apolized to me for being so drunk the night before.

I learned my lesson gents and have three more nights in SL with my wingmen. We have the penthouse and just moved in. Big upgrade from the Presidential Suite. Its raining outside now. My wing and I will grab a quick lunch at the SL bar and see what talent is down there for a nice afternoon delight.

Lol you were trying to short here at 550 per then she got you for a little bit. Just negotiate in colones. Most girls that would say yes to $100 will say yes to 50,000 colones even though it is about $86.

It's OK champ....I can understand the pressure you can get on your first night.

At least she didn't leave in the morning without doing you. It wasn't bad at all in my opinion. Make sure you don't pay ANY girls more than 30K colones and don't pay them upfront!!!

Eh, that's some tough advice Kutt. Generally (unless its rediculous) I think guys should pay what they negotiate. The focus here should be on the session and what you want out of it.

I get what you're saying, but a clear cutt line like 30k is tough....

I agree that 30k cutoff will be tough. At least half the chicas will decline without even trying to negotiate further.

A1 advice for all of us newbies to CR. this comes as perfect timing for my upcoming trip in less than 3 weeks better luck in the future going forward, enjoy the rest of the trip

Orange, it is amazing the amount of times we tell the newbies not to pay upfront and they are still doing it. Just freaking amazing. And then they complain about the service, duh!

Kutappan, I agree that you advice sets a very hard line. Sometimes, the girl is worth more than 30K, particularly for all night (TLN).

I don't criticize guys (especially newbies) for paying up front once or twice.... hey, would have all done it, especially early on. You know how it is, you're all revved up ready to go, and she says money first. Many say that they would tell them to "hit the road", but in reality at that moment we are weak. But you learn as you get more experienced and hopefully don't repeat the newb mistakes.

I agree that it is most often a bad idea to pay up front. OTOH, I have pad up frot before and hve not always had bad results from doing so.

I think that as we go farther in this hobby, we develop a good sense for which chicas this strategy will work. In other words, I have paid a few chicas up front, most wererepeats, and the timing of payment had no effect on the quality of the session whatsoever.

I think for newbies the best advice is to never pay up front. You can show her the money, then place it out of her reach. This reassures her that the money is there.

Another thing: Speaking Spanish will allow you to reassure her while maintaining control.

"Yo nunca pago de adelantado, pero sabe usted que nunca le robaria...el dinero esta aqui'." Or something like that.

I also find it acceptable to up the ante a bit; if the service is extraordinarily good, you may add a small propina, gift or other bonus. For instance, on my last trip, I agreed to $200.00 TLN with a girl, but she rocked my world and therefore earned a small bonus (a gift bag containing designer knock-off perfume and matching lotion). The girl was appreciative; I received a substantial discount from her on our next TLN.

If you're a newbie, learn:

a.) To stick yto your guns regarding price
b.) To never pay up front until the girl is a well-known i.e. repeat, provider
c.) To demand and receive what you've paid for. Jack Shack (great handle!) got lucky in this regard, as she rocked his world the morning after. And, the price paid was only $8.62 higher than the original agreed-upon price. Not bad.

i can honestly say that i have only paid up front once(the girl was alreagy naked and laying on the bed-put the money on the TV-great session).I knew not to but reading this board helped more than i ever imagined.On my first trip i had about half the girls ask for the money upfront-just the one got it.Only one threw a hissy fit and she calmed down to a good session when i told her she could just leave.Since then i have only been asked a few times and all relented when told they could leave.Only one turned out to be lame and i think she would have been anyway.I often repeat with the same girls and this cuts down on the upfront request.I also avoid the drunk ones.

To me paying upfront is a lost opportunity of what it could be, because I take away from the girl any motivation to perform at her best. Imagine if you got GFE while paying upfront, then you took away the opportunity of even get to a higher level or truly have her drop all inhibitions. IMO, pay upfront is even worse than paying too much. At least by paying top dollar you are motivating her to perform.
