Ah, but you forget that no one goes outside in Florida in the summer except to run from their air conditioned car to their air conditioned home or office. Unfortunately that is not really an option in CR but lots of COLD showers are.

It's pretty simple really....markings are put on by someone to differentiate the hot & cold water (if you wanted to) and then installed (usually) by someone (else) who does not (care to) use the markings to differentiate hot and cold. He just installs them at random. So half the time or so, the markings mean nothing. Especially at the places that have no hot water anyway.

Many cultures would think only a fool needs a "indicator" of whether the water is hot or cold. They don't pay torts in big $$ to people that spill hot coffee on theirselves either usually. Ladders seem naked of stickers.

I could deal with no H & C indicators if the damn toilets would flush and the sewage/water was appropriately treated!
