Hey if you can share where you park when using the FLL airport (thanks in advance) I will be driving down from tampa on monday 6/8/09 and I have never used this airport , $ 221 round trip vs 380 from tampa with long layovers in Miami, so I pulled the trigger on FLL, i like the ideal of non stop flight, and saving 160 but having second thoughts on the drive ....do they have a long term parking there ? its like 9 dollars a day in tampa ....my trip is for 6 days so I hope to stay under 10 a day for parking ....

Just Google "airport parking FLL" for all the info. Long term parking shown as $7.50 a day and directions given to the lot.

You want might to consider renting a car from the airport. There's usually no fee to drop off a car if it's from one airport to another..

Park n fly is cheap if you book online. Next time you head down to CR you might want to check out spirits $9 fare club for tampa to Fll flights, they can be dirt cheap. Also you should check out JetBlues new SJO service from Orlando, normally 99 each way but sometimes sales for 69. Much better drive form tampa.

Also, somebody Jet Blue or Spirit was gonna be flying Tampa - SJO direct.

As stated Park and Fly is cheap though you have to catch the shuttle which is about a 10 -12 minute ride out to the extended lot they use. You may have to wait a few minutes waiting for the shuttle as well. They have plenty of shuttles FROM The lot so thats is not usually a problem.

If your not worried about a few extra bucks and its only a few days. Long Term Parking DIRECTLY on Airport grounds is last month anyway $12.00 per day. You can walk directly to your car from the 4 terminals just park near the terminal your going to be flying or the walk is well you get the idea there are no people movers though they do have shuttles on the ground floor.

Next time, just fly from Tampa. The park-n-fly is good. In the end, you're not saving much and getting up early to do a bunch of driving. Watch your speed on the Alley, all sorts of Trooper speed traps.

If you already booked and can't change, check into the Spirit cheapie TPA-FLL. You are definately better off at FLL. Avoid MIA at all costs.

economy parking is $7.50 par day and the shuttle comes in 15 min or leass increments unless it is the middle of the night. I use it all the time and find it no hassle. Economy lot is located west of I-95
