Was he really kidding with all those story's about everthing. I invested alot of money on his advice and am rich today. I thought I owed him. Now to find out it was all in humour. Well I will just spend all the money myself. Still I do miss you Circus. And would of been happy if you took my little ZEE WEE for a walk on the wild side.

I truly miss Circus and his tidbits of knowledge and wisdom…

I had he opportunity/invite to dance with Circus at the 06 anniversary party…I didn’t have the balls (or the rum) to do it… truly my bad.

Circus, in these weird and uncharted times that we now live in, a dose of Circus reality would be greatly appreciated.

Please come back :!:

Mister Ciego, you forgot to mention in that select group another true legend, who by the the way, has been MIA lately: DonGordo.
Circus and DonGordo, I hope you two are doing fine!

Reports of Dongordo's absence have been greatly exagerated. DG was recently in town (May 6-9) with his brother, and his last post was less than a week ago.

You're right, I realized it the next day I posted that. DonGordo has never been too much into posting but he does appears in pictures every now and then. He was the first one here who showed his face, and in a big way, the online newspaper A.M. Costa Rica!

I was intrigued with the writings by this poster called circus. A while back I did a long search on his posts. Wow, he sure did a lot of stuff and had hilarious writings about so many experiences.

I was amazed at his versitile way with words and emotions. A lot of bull shit yet he would come up with a somber story of vets and events. That one where he met a veteran in the mall was really poignant.

The almost like essays about historical places, i.e. the Presidente, Key Largo and Blue Marlin were really interesting. I laughed so much at the "Circus Cardboard Inns." Although I could not figure out his thing with "Huggie" the blow up doll, I can only say that anyone that strolled through the gulch like he did with "her" had to have some balls. I believe he got kicked out of several places because of that.

The story about the CRT aniversery party where he dies was really a fun read and well written. The plane trips, massage parlor adventures were hysterical. I could never write like that.

I do respect him for his service to country yet he never boasted about his war days. Most of the vets I know don't want to get into that.

I do miss not reading your exploits on this forum. I do wish you the best and hope that one day you might return to let us know you are well.

I do have one question if you decide to read the forum. Years ago, did you really spend the night in Key Largo naked upstairs after you got drunk and was almost arrested for spooking the cleaning staff next morning? An old friend of yours relayed that story to me. I find that story really strange.

I wish I could have met you and shitass, your cat.

MD

I know his son, and yes, Circus is real.

His son is a stand up guy, you'd never know he was related.

His boy in fact, one day got me out of one of Circus's stunts where he and one of his deplorable friends, El Ciego, were trying to dupe me into a "tour" of "spewing volcanoes" in Morazon Park.

But we do miss the old guy, and he does live near the dump in the Pits of Jax, right under were the I-95 bridge crosses the river. I usually throw an empty beer can out the window when passing over his trailer, just to let him know that someone is thinking of him.

Despite losing the last of his mental faculties in 2004, Circus, 89, avoided

being committed to an elder-care facility until just last week, when his

son discovered his down-home turns of phrase were in fact the senseless

ramblings of a senile old man. "We would have taken him to a specialist

sooner, but you know how Dad's always saying, 'I reckon I'll stay where

I am as long as the good Lord's willing and the rooster don't break bread

with a jackass,'" son Circus The Younger said. "For years he's been

calling me 'Buster Brown' and telling me I'm so bowlegged I couldn't hem

a hog up in a ditch. I assumed it was a term of endearment, but now I

don't think he actually recognizes me." Circus The Younger's Ch*ldren said

they also believe their grandfather's diet of uncooked beans and

cornstarch is not in fact "a Great Depression thing."
