Ummmm my vote is for MG for Nostrodomus, or at the very least his own 800 number for college picks next year!

Hope the coach has brains enough to stay. The Pros are the death of so many good coaches.

This shows the top ten college teams according to the AP. On the left are the results of the Pre-season poll; on the right is the AP Post-season (after all the bowl games). I used AP because I think the BCC really stands for bull crap.

The italics means the team was in the Pre-season top 10 but did not finish in the Post-season top 10; the bold means the team was not in the Pre-season top 10 but finished in the Post-season top 10.

1. Georgia . . . . . . . . . . Florida (# 5 preseason)
2. Ohio State . . . . . . . .Utah
3. USC . . . . . . . . . . . . . USC (# 3 preseason)
4. Oklahoma . . . . . . . . Texas
5. Florida . . . . . . . . . . . Oklahoma (#4 preseason)
6. Mizzou . . . . . . . . . . . Alabama
7. LSU . . . . . . . . . . . . .TCU
8. WVA . . . . . . . . . . . . Penn State
9. Clemson . . . . . . . . . Ohio State (# 2 preseason)
10. Auburn . . . . . . . . . Oregon

So at least the BCS gets ONE thing right. They do not put their stuff out until October. Any monkey can pick USC, Florida, Ohio St., and Oklahoma for preseason top 10.

What would be nice (but won't ever happen) is if they would reset the AP poll in mid-October. I'm not saying get rid of it all together, because it is something to talk about and gives the networks something to promote, match-up-wise. Just a thought.

I think that the move to dump the BCC is growing in popularity. President Elect Obama has positively commented on it. But in the end, as others have posted on previous threads, the move to a playoff series and a “college super bowl” will be based on leveraging existing contracts, overcoming the vested interest of the powers at the BCC and how much more money the existing power brokers can generate by a change.

The Florida Gators are really an amazing team. Nevertheless on any given “Saturday” anyone of the top teams can take out a higher rated and genuinely better team.
