The name of the resturant is EL Gran Escape they will cook your catch and be sure to try the crab cakes, the best in CR. Also great looking fishing T-shirts for 10 bucks, got one on now from a tournament back in 04. Good luck and say hello to the ladies at Whackey Wandas for me.

So what the restraunt in Quepos to take my fresh catch for some grilling?

I think you'll find that most restaurants will be willing to cook your fresh catch. Especially if you give them a little extra fish for the chef and/or staff to enjoy also. Actually, I don't think I've ever had a restaurant refuse to cook my catch. And over the years, I've probably had well over a dozen different restaurants prepare my day's catch.

Some restaurants will charge you a per-person price to cook the fish, while others charge a flat rate and bring out the cooked fish on platters, buffet style. It all depends on the restaurant.

If you're really concerned, then you can just look around town after you arrive, and stop into a couple different restaurants a day or two before you fish. Then you can ask them ahead of time. This is much better than driving (or walking) around town, with bags of raw fish, after you've been on the ocean all day, and you're probably worn out from the heat / sun, and you're tired, and irritable, and hungry, and semi-intoxicated, etc.....

Just ended up having the hotel restraunt prepare it. I wanted to try the Grand Escape but they wouldn't make a fish soap, and dad wanted fish soup along with the rest of the meal.

Caught 5 Mahi Mahi n the first 4 hours then skunked the rest of the trip. My largestMah Mahi weighed at least 30 lbs according to the crew, but I think it was bigger.

We went inshore fishing and had a blast. The Quepos Dock lost electricity so we had no bait fish to catch roosterfish. So we caught 2 needlfish and 2 spanish mackrel. The mackrel feed 10 of us and ome left over for the staff. Needlefish look out of theis world. Was 4 feet long very colorful slim with a shit load of teeth. We got it cooked at a rest. on the beach in Manual.
