No direct knowledge but from all the previous posts on these Forums, I'd say that once you get away from the Gulch/Jaco axis all the action is by and for the Ticos. Short answer is--NO. I'd love to be wrong on this.

Do a search on Liberia. There are some bars that sometimes may have a working girl or two in Liberia and along the Pacific there.

But it is not like the scene in San Jose, or even Jaco. It's 100% hit or miss. And the prices can be ridiculous. It's better to BYO from San Jose if you're going to the beach for a few days. If you are going only to Liberia, good luck, you're gonna need it.

As a newbie, you might want to know - that the Happy Snapper is a seafood restaurant in Brasilito. It's not a brothel. But the seafood is 2nd to none! Say hello to the owners Michael and Craig, and the manager Fernando. They'll treat you right.

FYI, there is no beach in Liberia. You have to drive another 20-30 minutes to get any of the common beaches from there.

There is another alternative, not one I'm espousing (kind of a pun there), and that's an escort. One of our CRT sponsors is www.costaricaggescorts.com ; that might be a solution for you. YMMV radically.

Yea MG...I guess I didn't really make myself clear that the Happy Snapper is NOT a p4p place! The food however, like MG said, is worth the trip if you are in the Tamarindo/ Flamingo area.

Hey guys, thanks for the input. I think I'll use kayak.com for airfare, book a room at the Sportmans and maybe get an use the escort service mentioned for the first day. To have a driver pick me up at the airport and have a girl for 24 hours would be nice.
I would also like to plan some day trips outside of San Jose.

Why? There will be girls in the SL you can preview in person, talk to and get to know a bit. You are a 10 minute walk from the Del Rey. Why use an escort service.

Seriously, the odds of you making it to the beach are slim to none if you wind up in San Jose. It truly is a waste of time to make plans because they never work once you hit the Gultch.

Don't confuse the new guy with logic right out of the box

I know that at PLAYA DEL COCO there are 2 bars across the street from each other along the main road.... those places are only really happening on weekends and there are chick in and around the area.... I wouldn't go strickly to get laid its hit and miss as far as the quality goes I would say the best I saw was an 8 1/2.... Its a cool place to visit, ther's a hotel with a tiny casino just a few meters away from the bars I mentioned....

Coco is like 20 minutes from Liberia centro.....
