Bob, it's due to Pacifica55's (v1.0) posts vanishing about a year ago like something out of the Twilight Zone. Some of the older multi-page threads had their actual number of pages reduced to reflect Pac55's missing posts, but the indicated last page however didn't change and so created the missing pages. This thread is an example, it's off by one page; Last Post Wins (whch also vanished along with Pac55's posts but has since come back from the Twilight Zone) is a severe case with the page count being off by seven. As the thread grows the supposed last page(s) will always be non-existent.
