SL remains my only place I call home when in CR. The bartenders are taking too long? Gimme a fucken break, your on vacation who cares. Or maybe a nicely timmed smile will get you remembered or better service

The new rooms as I've said before are rediculous nice. Flat screen TV's (remember HD television is still cool/new down there) I was impressed by it all. Btw, that 2 bedroom is rediculous.

My last trip I finally saw an actual room inside the DR, what shithole rooms those are...

Wow, I thought I was OD'ing on some bad 5.0 / 500MG Vicodin that I bought real cheap from this guy that knows a guy over to the SL.

Just to make it clear:

Yes, when I returned sick and exhausted from my most recent trip, I didn't have all the facts, nor had I thoroughly thought through the original title of this thread.

Fact is, the SL did a fine job of handling the problems. If there was any error on their part, or mine...it was in the communication of what was done to resolve the problems, which resulted in my rather flippant original title for this thread.

I was neither coerced nor bribed in any way to change the title. There was no "heat," and neither a stick nor a carrot.

Look, the SL is my favorite hotel of the four monger-friendly hotels at which I've stayed during six visits to C.R. It's that simple.

I realized after re-reading the thread that the title was not what I wanted to say. Sorry about any confusion.

If we're going to discuss hotels, the good and the bad, stories like this one are illustrative. They also open discussions, allow for venting of frustration and generally serve the purposes of a public forum. Childish? Give me a break.

Cujo, yeah... that was my first time in a Hotel del Rey room too. Depressing. No windows. No decent lighting. Small bed, tiny bathroom. I'm sure that there are nicer rooms at the HDR, but that rabbit warren of hallways, tiny cribs and lack of daylight would drive me nuts.
