If you wear lace-up shoes when traveling, try using elastic shoelaces--makes getting them on and off much easier. Helpful in, er, "social" situations as well. Widely available at sporting goods stores or online. Try: www.locklaces.com Available in a wide variety of colors including the always-popular fluorescent shades. Price: $5 + $2 S/H or Google for other brands

See, now that's why I post the semi-whimsical stuff--so we can have some fun with it.
My choice as a proud Celt would be any shade of green, though actually I wear Velcro-strapped semi-geezer shoes.
BTW, you can talk all that stuff about Carla Thomas' version but I'll go with Bernadette Peters' version of "Gee Whiz". (He said, hijacking his own thread).
