I stayed at HDR for my first and last time in 2004. The rooms are nothing special, and overpriced. My room was on the third or fourth floor over the casino...very noisy...but then again, I did not go there to sleep. You will be assessed a $10 fee for each chica you bring to the room.

Try the Morazon, you can get a Jr. Suite there for the price of a standard room at HDR. Also no chica fee. The resturant and bar at the Morazon suck but your going to be spending all your time at HDR and SL

Feedback on Hotel Del Rey -

Hi all,

I have some very current info, as I'm planning a trip Aug 15-18th. I've stayed at HDR before, and as I recall the rate for a Standard room on my last trip (2006) was about $60 per night.

It's nothing special and very loud (who goes to San Jose to rest?), but you are right in the mix of one the prime hunting grounds.

Fast-forward to this week, and I contacted a few hotels about my upcoming trip. They quoted me $390.00 for the 3 nights, plus tax 16.39%. My total would be $453.92 before adding any chica fees. This was for a Standard room; not the penthouse. I was shocked!!!

Thanks to my membership here ($39.00) I've been able to read up on some other options. I booked Sat & Sunday at Sportsmen's Lodge (I couldn't get all 3 nights there) and then booked Friday at La Amistad.

The rate at SL & Amistad is $65 per night, not counting the 15% discount I'll get off the Amistad room rate, 10% off the daily room rate at SL, and any other VIP discounts such as food at SL or any of the other discounts available. Also, these hotels don't charge a guest fee.

I don't post a lot, but I posted this to illustrate the value of the VIP membership to anyone who has not already joined.

I'm looking forward to my upcoming trip. Of course I'll visit HDR and the Blue Marlin, but only to make new friends and leave...not to stay there.

Perhaps the HDR is taking the same 'Cien' stance as the Ticas

Hopefully after a heated discussion were going to start treating the new people better. Asking about a hotel is a perfectly reasonable question. There are search techniques but even I have trouble using them. It probably would be a good idea to have a sticky section on each hotel.

My take on the Del Rey is that it's not cheap. They charge $10 for each girl you bring up. The rooms are not spectacular. All that said: the service is excellent, there's not a safer building in San Jose to stay in and it keeps you off the streets at night. Oh yeah there is that 200 or so girls down the lobby.

The 200 chicas in the lobby is the reason i stay there but after 4 nights you might need some sleep!

I stayed there once and will never stay there again. It's overpriced by about 2 times. Crappy, old, and simple. And the fact that there is a $10 chica fee is laughable.

The only one laughing is Big John, as he consistently maintains an occupancy rate in the high 80s.

I will gouge my eyes out with a fork before staying at the DR again.

That said, the restaurant has a great, affordable steak.

Just got back from the DR for 3 nights. Booked the ECONOMY room for $80 a night. Ask for it. Good points are:

1. You can stay there and not worry about taxis

2. Get better prices from the ladies meaning all they have to do is go downstairs after they are done with you.

3. Stay at the bar late and and get better prices. Seems like I could negotiate better when it is after 2:00am. So many chicas that late they get desperate. Had 1 girl for 3 hours for $100. She was lactating and got a nice tittie Phuck too. I think her name was Stephanie. I'd give her a high 7 rating as far as looks. Blowjob ok at best. Great ass and Phuck. Great kisser.

I'd like to add that the money I'd save on the chicas by staying there would make up for some of the room price. Plus the girls are less likely to Phuck with you being they are in YOUR house. JMO other opinions welcome.
