It's not the same as girls in Central and South America, and no matter how you spin it, there's nobody who's lived south of Key West who will seriously argue that point.
Central and South America aren't special, just cheaper.
Well keep in mind, that if a lot of the stories on monger boards and around the DR bar are to be believed, much of the ass around the Gulch is had for free. And to add insult to injury, many of the same girls are left with shattered hearts and in tears at the airport....
In any case, and this is all said generally and not directly to the poster I`ve quoted here, but it is true that there are cultural differences north and south, but the "gringa/latina" dichotomy is too narrow. A lot of the difference can relate to worldviews and religious influence, historically Protestant or Catholic, perhaps even climate, and is seen between northern and southern Europe as well. But many southern European ethnicities exist in the U.S. and a number still bear these cultural characteristics so stereotypes don`t always work well. Honestly I`d bet much of the wholesale complaints about "gringas" stems from bitterness about striking out here, divorces, etc. Latin America is viewed as some nirvana and contra-distinction but the money we bring there is quite lot to them. Show big cash on American soil and you`ll see similiar responses and even "warmth" if you have enough, and make it known that`s what you expect...
