I always tell people that I go to CR for fishing. Which is true since I do my fishing in the Blue Marlin

I cannot tell people why I go. I envy those that do not have to live the lie

And BTW Circus "Uncle you have a way with the ladies"

Unfortunatly I had several experiences with wearing the "Blue Marlin" T-shirts. One being a drunk coming up to me and my S/O , attemping to carry on a conversation about the Del-Rey. I no longer wear them and haven't for about 10 yrs. Just too dicey when you have a lot riding.

I was playing golf in the North Carolina mountains at my club and the only cap in my trunk was a Blue Marlin cap, from the HDR of course... My son and I were finishing the 9th hole and #1 was close by... I know most members, but I didn't recognize this guy who was 70ish or so.. He looked at me and said " So do you like Costa Rica?"

Oh yeah, I gushed as a big smile spread over my face...

He pointed to my cap and replied " that's my favorite country club"... We exchanged knowing looks and smiles, then continued with our round... Don't you just know he was thinking about the pink palace of poosie the whole day and all the hot chicas he's banged? 8) 8) 8)

YO Tony:

One never knows the reactions they might get from a bystander acknowledging a logo on a cap or shirt. I'm bless with the freedom that I don't give a shit and have no family to explain it to.

During the four decades that I have traveled to countries of "OZ" I have always been respectful to the culture and people yet non apologetic to friends and relatives as to my many adventures....shit, I didn't tell them shit anyway.

To wear a shirt, cap, scarf or whatever is a tribute.....not a put down. Then again, it can be an "in your face comment." Being radical as I am....I would think the ladder. Especially for some folks in the U.S. that just do not live life.

Perhaps for an old man it may be an ego trip....then again, I can't find a chica that wants this old wrikled body. Pitiful is as pitiful does.

I made that mistake once wearing a Hotel Presidente hat that they give me on my second trip. I got back to work and attended a public health fair a bunch of the older male patient start asking about what I did in CR about some MP and the DR, needless to say that was the last time I wore that hat.

I did not want any public conversion about CR. Some guys don't care who's around they just start talking and talking and talking with out control.

By the way I give the hat to my Dad I never did ask him if anyone started a conversion with him, due to the hat he was wearing.

I would glady pay $5000 colons for those two videos from the security camera to see Circus's expression both times.
Happiness, confusion? Now you know Circus. We are marked like the beast, and the beast are served at every feast!.

I have a work-around for this dilemma: wanting to proudly show the "monger colors" but not wanting to out yourself to the ignoranti. Get yourself a T-shirt (don't know if golf shirts are available) from Brother Harry Hart's Bar Poas--it's a fine Gulch establishment much frequented by mongers, a proud CRT Sponsor and owned by a real gent. Pocket T's available for us nicotine-addicts and believe me you'll fly well under the radar. You might elicit questions especially from those who know the address is in the Gulch but no outrage from those who don't. Perfect.

Ole Circus is making this one way too difficult for himself. She was only calling him a dirty man because she thought he was wearing the shirt for 2 days without washing it.

Still wear mine but what I like the best is where it says: "The customer always comes first" The first one I had did not have that.
