Hey everyone.
Great place you all have here... I've been to Costa Rica three times and all I can say is "WOW". lol

Anyhow, I have a sports radio show in South Florida. I am looking into doing a live remote show in San Jose, Costa Rica, at one of the hotels, sports bars...

Any ideas of what place would work the best? Or where someone from here knows a manager of a spot? It'd be a great weekend.

Thanks guys.

I can't speak for the rest, but I would just as soon keep my favorite places off the radar. :D

I think I understand what you mean....

Anyhow, if someone can relay some good info, that's be great. It'd be nice to do a live show from San Jose.

Thanks

What sports would you be reporting on from CR? Alejuela soccer teams...or hunting trophies at the Delrey? I agree with others here...what would your reason/intent be to broadcast from Costa Rica on "sports"?

I think his main intent is to have a business related, deductible, reason for trip number 4. Having a local radio show expounding on the virtues of CR could actually prove beneficial for those members in S. Florida who need to explain regular trips to CR to coworkers/spouse, as long as the sports don't include mongering.

Showcasing ATV's, zip lines, whitewater rafting, sport fishing could work. A live show would be harder but topics could include ex-pats gathering for "the big game"; celebrating the 4th of July in a foreign land; or doing the fantasy football draft in a Central American sportsbar.

Now this I don't get. PaulyVegas does a play about CR, drawing a phenominal amount of attention towars us and our hobby. This guy has a regional radio show, most likely listened to primarily by guys anyway. And you are critical of him? Doesn't make a bit of sense to me. Go for it, I say. Zona Blue is the ultimate guys place, that would be the best recommend. They also have a cigar bar in Florida. Just do not write a play or book about your experience.

Sorry but I tend to disagree with the majority here. I'm sure this gentleman has no plans to broadcast from the DR,ZB or your favorite MP on Calle 6 so as to draw attention to places that we usually frequent with our pants OFF. A couple of suggestions I might make would first be the Hotel M. They are very sports oriented and I'm sure would like the publicity.Second might be the sports bar upstairs at the Presidente.

Hey guys,

Well, Trip #4 would be great. lol.

Anyhow, the main point is to advertise the place in CR where I am broadcasting from... The point of the broadcast would be just like my regular show here in Florida.

They have shows all the time broadcast from the Bahamas, etc...

I love CR and that's why I want to do a show from down there... I hope you would all join me =)

Any of you guys live in South Florida? I am doing a live show from a sports bar down here for the Belmont Stakes.

Well, love this board, keep up the good job guys.
