After having lived in Costa Rica for a year and a half, I made my first trip to San Jose last month. My buddy told me about Casa Vino, so I stayed there on his recommendation,


San Jose is the shit. What a great time! We were there for 3 days and the owners really helped us out. In addition to telling me about CRT (thanks!), the owner took me around to some of the hot spots around San Jose and introduced me to people. He filled me in on some of the do's and don't about getting around the city. It made it really easy for me to get into the swing of things.

It was great having all the extra privacy and space. We partied out, cranked the stereo, had the projection TV going, dancing, it was like having our own private club. We raged and no one hassled us.


I had always herd about how dangerous it is in San Jose, but Barrio Amon is chill. Close enough to the snake pit, but far enough way to chill out. Thanks for making my first trip so great. I had no idea San Jose was even like that. It was not what I expected.
