Had a hellish trip SJO-ORD April 01 and let them know not only did I not like the delay I did not think much of being lied to about the reason....
Problem was advertised as an Equipment problem, but talking with
flight crew found out is was a crew rest issue at SJO.. Crews have been
late into SJO for over a week and AA has decided not to change the rotation at SJO to get the noon flight back on time....

Doesn't make up for the lost time but better than " We are sorry for the delay and as a customer you are the most important person to us... " BS

Dear Mr. "" Pidd "":

We know that arriving at your destination on time is important and we apologize for our flight delay and the disruption of your plans on April 1. However, we would like you to know that the safety of our customers and crewmembers will always take priority over on-time departures.

Nevertheless, we realize you were inconvenienced and we'd like to offer you a gesture of goodwill and encouragement to continue to fly with us. We've added 3,000 miles to your AAdvantage® account. You will see the mileage soon at http://www.aa.com/AAdvantage.

Again, we are sorry. We hope you'll give us another chance -- we'll see you aboard again soon.

Sincerely,

B. J. Russell

Others must have the same type of problem. My Spirit flight out last Oct. had the entire flight crew show up 1 hr. late (hmmmmmmmm).
