Shawn4DR, I stayed at the Hotel Karahe about 2 years ago. I was impressed overall. It has a private beach and is a short walk on the beach to the park. The monkeys visited the place each day as well as other critters. The monkeys walked on the roof of the restaurant (pretty good food and reasonable) and drank from the swimming pool (small pool but nice). No TV, however it had cold AC. You have a choice of rooms, one side is across the road and up the hill, the other choice is my preference (what they call the ocean view, but can hardly see the ocean from any room due to the trees at the approach to the beach), view of the pool, restaurant and more relaxing. The room was large with a balcony (2nd floor) and the bed comfortable. I don't remember the exact cost, but it was under $90 per night and convinient to town and the park. I would definately stay there again.
Here is the website,

My room was on the corner of the second floor facing the pool on the south side and is recommended.
The area of Manuel Antonio is very steep and hilly so caution in the respect of road noise at some hotels located in the hills. The trucks and buses downshift and scream up and down the hills which is annoying. There is also some construction going on in the area and if building is in progress, the noise can also be annoying. Be sure to call and ask if construction noise is a concern at any hotel you are considering.
I hope this helps. Say hi to bang 57 for me.

Buena suerte amigo.
