No April Fools joke. The recently remoldeled Shoe will hold the game in thier brand new poker room located on the 3rd floor every night at 5:00pm starting this coming Tuesday (April 1st).
The minimum buy in is $50.00 with $1.00 and 2.00 blinds.
A buddy of mine, Phil Masters (a gringo) is running it and he will be there every night.

The will be offering CRT members a 10% buy in bonus up to $20.00 per day if you show up by 5:00pm. (show up by 7:00 and it drops to 5%).
CRT membership; $100.00 buy in required with a 2 hour min. to get the bonus.

Private tournaments available
Private games available.

Sounds like a nice alternative to other Poker rooms in and around SJ.
I'll be there this coming Tuesday for the Grand Opening and hope to see you there too.

Just a note to let you know that the game is going well. I have been there 3 nights out of 4 and I must tell you that it is professionally run with a nice mixture of Ex Pats, Ticos and tourists. Haven't won yet but will keep trying.

Update:
Game is going good. Nice mix of tourist, ticos and ExPats. A bone of contention was the free drinks which now has been rectified.
They are also considering offering a daytime low limit game starting in May. Once I have the exact date, I will let you know.
In the meantime, the no limit game with free drinks continues daily starting at 5:00P.
