Guys-Booked at Hotel Santo Tomas. Find out now not chica friendly, so looking to double book a room for Fri and Sat night for encounters. Just tried SL but full, other ideas please? How about Inca Inn? Want a reasonable priced chica friendly room on a Fri and Sat?

Off topic-1-Inca Inn wants credit card over internet. Is this wise? 2-Does anyone drink the water?

Try the Amistad. They usually have rooms. Also try the Castillo.

Another option is always the short term hotels in the gulch. Hotel Asia and La Oficina.

Personally I only DRINK bottled water, whether in the US or anywhere else. I brush my teeth in CR with tap water and I know several who have had no problems with the local water. Maybe others want to pipe in on this point

I have had no dealings with the Inca Inn. I have given my cc info to the SL, HDR, and Clarion Amon Plaza via the web. No problems with any.

I have consumed the local water although not too much. My wingmen usually buy bottled water for the rooms and I usually take full advatnage of the minibar in the rooms. But sometimes there is ice in one's beer (such as at the Horseshoe) and ice is made from water.... I have never gotten sick, knock on wood.

Listen to Spanky's advice re: rooms. Also, the Morozan Hotel and Casino has reasonably priced rooms. It ain't Caesar's Palace (hell it makes the Stratosphere look 5 stars) but the price and location make it worth looking into. No CRT VIP discount though.

Good luck and enjoy.

I have consumed lots of tapwater in CR over five trips without an apparent reaction.

The water in SJ is fine, I drink it all the time, even fill my hydration pack with it, never had any problems. As for bottled water, a tour guide once said that some of the local brands are just tap water. :D

While I was in CR this past January, someone threw 2 dead dogs into the water reservoir in Santa Barbara. Needless to say...we was all drinking bottled water and boiling bath water. Freezing water will certainly kill some bacteria and slow the growth of others, but is no certain solution. I recomend copius amounts of alcohol be added to your glass.
