I have had R/T airfare for under $500 on four occasions.....last trip was $276.

Delta has fare R/T from DTW to SJO for $335, taxes included, in April and May.

I think, on average, I can fly from Detroit for cheaper than most of you in Florida.

Of course, we have more than our share of big-boned gringas here, so it is a fair trade.

Hey tough question there, Crookedcr... Detroit? West Palm Beach? Detroit? West Palm Beach?

As for SJO, I flew down for $230 with 8 days notice and it can be less than that...

As for living in South Florida, my IQ may be barely in double digits and my turnip truck runs just fine, but I guess I'll just suffer here in the sunshine state...
It wasn't a perfect day today though, the temp was 70 to 79 degrees and slightly windy so not perfect for tennis, but we struggled through it...

How was Detroit today? Get to crank up that snow blower? 8) 8) 8)

At least we do not have hurricanes up here in Chicago...

Prices of last 6 trips over the last 8 mos. (all on Taca)
Lowest 250.02
Highest 309.02

My current Taca rt is $260, so I saved my FF miles.

Thats gonna be a tough ticket this year especially if they finally make the trade for Brian Roberts. but for sure give a shout when they hit this year and you are coming up, I usually have a line on tickets

Maybe cheaper than north Florida but certainly not the guys in south Florida....

As always it is about timing, assuming your not in the Dallas American monopoly like some of our brothers.

Yeah, we have something called micro bursts. And talk in terms of below 0, not below freezing. Chicago sucks. I have been here for 3 years (fromer NJ boy). I am counting the days to move out of this hole.

Off to CR Friday morning.

North Louisiana. I fly continental and connect in houston..Great time slots but the fare sucks! Even orginating in Houston can be expensive compared to other locations around the US, 450-550
