Hotel Don Carlos would be very nice if you did all of your sessons at ZB, NF or Idem, but do no try to bing a chica there. PS. Don Carlos also has a very nice gift shop.

Hotel replied to my inquiry, and informed me that there is no construction going on, and that my reservations in March will not be effected. At this point I plan on holding my reservation and we shall see whats up when I arrive. Any info from a recent hotel quest would be nice.

The slot machines are going to be part of the Gardens Restaurant. I talked to the owner, plans for a casino and gentleman's club.

Big dreams.

He also mentioned something about renovations in the restaurant underway right now.

take a look at the "Slot Machines" looks like a junk yard for slot machines

you would have a better chance making money on those machines than they will turning this place around...

sorry to say, but they just look under capitalized, undermanaged and completely inexperienced in customer service...but I hope for the best

I agree with some of your observations.

First thing first. Alcohol and Business generally are not a good mix. God forbid drugs and business. They dont mix well either.

Capital? How much is enough In CR. Come on? Not the problem.

Inexperience? Maybe. But how much experience do you need to compete with other similiar businesses in CR? Fo;;ow the lead of other successful ventures in CR?

Customer service? Hit or miss on most occassions. This might keep friends coming by, but it will not sustain current clientel nor will it gather new customers.

Management? A little spanish and the desire to be successful.

This all sounds like not so good news, I love staying there. The restaurant is often slow, and the bar small, so I see the thinking to try to increase revenues. It would be sad to see such a transformation as what appears to be coming. And a sustainable business plan?

Up Date,

The slots are still in the process of being installed. I agree they look old and tied. No constrution going on in the resturant. They have installed booth tables in the back garden area. Over all still quiet here.

I have not talked to Tom or Darren yet so I have no feed back from them.
