I went straight to the Delta site and it comes out 376. Thanks, that's a great deal.

I am fishing for hotel reservations at the prime spots.
No luck at the Sportsman's Lodge . ...at least in the new wing. I will not stay in the old section as I am too old and ill to even maintain my balance in the shower. That is the truth. I have some kind of nerve damage in my feet which makes me unbalanced. Gentlemen, this is a big problem. It means no dancing.

I do not want to return to Atlanta as a P13. (dead body). At least that is what my former wife told me. She worked for Alitalia Air.

I can however maintain my balance on a barstool in the bar all day and night.
I guess my ass is not damaged.

Checked today and ATL>SJO above $530. What would have happened, they sold all the wanted at that price?

Icantstayaway, where did you find the deal anyway? It worked yesterday but today the prices are up.

That is too weird. I saw this sale and the ticket price on Delta from PDX through ATL to SJO is $358. Yeah, $18 less than the price from ATL - SJO.

I know Delta pulls this BS all the time. For almost a year they ran the flight from Charlotte through Atlanta at around $250 but if you originated in Atlanta it was round $500 or something like that. It was just enough that you could not justify the time and cost of driving the four hours to Charlotte to hop on.

I just want to know how Icantstayaway was notified or if he found it on the Delta site by chance. The wording of the post made me think I had some time to pick some dates and now the sale is over. Funny thing is all the sites I normally search didn't even reflect the price I got from the Delta site yesterday so it almost seems unannounced.

kayak.com showed a price decrease and when you checked, Delta was the cheapest at $358. I'll run it right now and see what I get...

Delta is still cheapest at $383 through PDX-ATL-SJO.

Continental's price through PDX-HOU-SJO is $$496.

kayak alerted me to Continental's sale a few weeks ago and I got it at $373.

I'm sorry they are back to $530. I went back to Atl about 40 times in 2007 so I set the Delta site as my homepage and checked the price every time I logged on. I stayed in CR all of 2006 and plan the same thing for 2008. I still check just out of habit. Delta tries to match all of other carrier's sales .

I really cant believe this is legal since we are the ones that bailed the airlines out after 9/11. I'm all for free enterprise and capitalism but with laws for monoplies, price fixing and such I think this falls into one of these catagories.
Since the Govt regulates so many things, I'm surprised , at times, it cost me more to go to SJO from ATL than my buddy from JFK to SJO and we both are on the same plane from ATL to SJO. I bet this will change in the future.

That is incredible! Even beats most fares from MIA/FLL and 3X the distance.
