Is this the place in Jaco (related to Club del Mar)?

Yes it is related..or it was. I stayed at Club del Mar a couple years ago and it was a GREAT hotel. Very nice rooms..walk to the beach (a couple meters)..and absolutely NO chica problems as far as bringing someone home with me. Last year I tried to stay on short notice at Club del Mar again but they were completely booked and offered to put me up at their sister locatio Club del Sol. I think Club del Mar may be a tad bit more upscale. I wound up staying at Canciones del Mar instead of Club del Sol and was happy with that.

bigcobra,

Since you already booked, this post is probably pointless but here's my two cents anyway. Club Del Sol is chica friendly, with a "negotiable" guest fee. It is a stone's throw away from Club Del Mar but about half the price during green season. Del Sol is more of a Miami type condo hotel and Del Mar is more of a beachside resort hotel. Frankly, I was blown away by how nice Club Del Sol was. Flatscreen, two patio/balconies, full kitchen, built very recently, very clean. Nice landscaping and pool too. Its a little bit down the road but a very quick cab ride back and forth. Next time I go to Jaco, I'm staying there. I'm actually quite surprised this place isnt mentioned more on the forum. Hell, maybe thats for the best. Either way, you should enjoy it.

Oh, check out the restaurant/bar next door at Del Mar. Good gallo pinto and cold Imperials.

Oh, here a tip...give the guard a beer when you leave to go hunting. When you come back just walk to the room....give him another when your guest leaves. He will be fine and forget about the $10.....
