The Sleep Inn is north of the Del Rey on the same block.
The Holiday Inn is across the street from Morazon Park.
Amon Plaza is 1 block north of Zona Blue.
Hotel Balmoral is across the street from the Presidente.
Best Western Downtown is 7 blocks west and 1 block south of Zona Blue.

Of course if you were a CRT VIP and downloaded the San Jose Gulch Map you would already know all of that. You would also be receiving discounts at some of these fine establishments which would pay for itself on your next trip.

What about that new hotel next to the DR? Is that Chica friendly?

There have been conflicting reports on whether the Sleep Inn is Chica friendly/tolerant/hostile.

When they opened the (dreaded) word on the street was that they were chica hostile but would allow them for a fee of $30.00 per night.

Then there was a post that a member paid a one time $25.00 charge for the entire 10 day stay.

That was followed by a post some time later that a member stayed there, paid no chica fee and cab drivers at the hotel had chicas available.

I really do not know what the current situation is.

Good Luck

Thanks Guys. Edgar at the DR came through for me and found a couple of rooms but I also remember someone telling me on my last trip that the new sleep inn (Could not remember the name) was not tolerant but when you build something like that next to the DR, what the hell would you expect?

Witling, I was/am a CRT VIP but I changed my username and since you now have to know your username as well as email address, I am lost. I guess I'll have to email admin to retrieve the info.

Cheers guys.

Not sure what discount is available in October but seeing how it is still green season sure some deals will be available.

To make reservations through the casino email them.

I had no problem getting the CRT $60 rate at Amon Plaza after the CRT deal allegedly expired 9/5/06. Its a good deal and a nice hotel.

We are working with the the Casino Today to clarify some rates for the coming months. I will have an announcement later today.

ALSO PLEASE NOTE:
Gentlemen:
Just a note.. Please be advised, YOU CAN NOT BOOK your room at the Amon Plaza, Clarion in SJO through 3rd party companies nor can you book directly with the Hotel and expect the discounts and waiver of Chica fees that are associated with CRT.

YOU MUST FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS provided on all of our discount pages as it pertains to booking rooms a the Amon Plaza. We have had more than a few instances where members have booked online with travel companies or called and booked directly with the Hotel and expect once they arrive they can simply provide their card and expect all that is associated with our relationship. That is not the case. YOU MUST BOOK THROUGH THE CASINO or non of the rates & discounts we have negotiated will apply. There are no exceptions to this. THANK YOU!

Does anyone know if all rooms there have internet (wired or wireless)? The web site is not clear. Thanks.
