Has anyone ever been to Ollie's Point in Guanacaste?
I was wondering if there is anything left of the ranch and landing strip that was used by Lt. Col. Oliver North and the CIA during the war against the Sandinistas in the 80s?
Someday, I'd like to go there and take some pics of a part of history.
Can't answer your post, but if you're looking to experience a little history, try the "El Avion Restaurant" in Manuel Antonio. This restaurant is the sister aircraft that was shot done in Nicarugua. This Fairchild 123 was dismantled and trucked to Manuel Antonio and turned in a restuarant bar.
They give you the complete history of what happened. The resturant itself is wonderful, great food, reasonable prices, and maybe one of the best views of a sunset over the Pacific. Great romantic place to take your chica and have a great candlelight dinner.
