I have been with BetCris a couple years now. I dont know of any promo codes, but it is a good thing to join up via the CRT button. They should be getting a lot of new account action now that BOS (Bet on Sports) is shut down by the feds and most of their people laid off. I know BOS were not saints, but I do have genuine concerns about that state of the industry in Costa Rica if the US successfully shuts down an offshore book the size of BOS. I will not be leaving a lot of money in my BetCris account until some of this is clarified in Costa Rica. There are few to no regulations there...and who knows what is going to happen. While one would think they would protect the jobs and income the country gets from these businesses from just the money circulating in San Jose and elsewhere, it is a fact governments arent realists or deal with rationality very well.

If you are not familiar with it, the House of Representatives have passed a bill outlawing ALL internet gaming for US citizens, including poker and sportsbetting. The CR industry is quietly waiting for the dust to clear...and I guess I mention this on two fronts. One is to be careful how much money you leave hanging out there. Two...I have supported and recommended other gamblers and poker players get involved in voicing dissidence to your US Congressmen, especially as the bill now heads to the Senate...and if passed, you know GW will sign it on behalf of the "moral minority". let me tell you i know first hand about "bet on sports"as i have a accont with Millennium sports...part of the bet on sports company...my money is frozen until futher notice...i will be in san jose in 3 weeks and i will go to the mall at san pedro where the "bet on sports" building is and all i will get is blah, blah, blah from them...when betting sports (anywhere but vegas) you must win TWICE meaning ..first win the bet ...then get paid...i have been betting for years and have many stories where i have been screwes by bookies and off shore places....so as we think it has gotten bettter over the years....it was due for a screw job...my opion the us goverment not getting there cut on all this cash going off shore and the local states missing out on that gambling money (race track, lottery, casinos) take from someone who knows...if they can shut down 'bet on sports" many more to follow....again you must win twice....the second one is sometimes harder than the first.

Good luck trying to get into BOS. I have a good Tico friend who works there. (Still has a job as of today but is worried. US toll free number and local telephone number are no longer in service) I asked if I could go inside and he said it would be impossible. NO outsiders are welcome inside. You are right Chili about needing to win twice. First win the bet and then get paid either by check (issued out of a bank in Miami) or by Western Union. Guess who pays the WU fee? You guessed correctly.

Just for the record on the CRT sponsor, BetCris. They have been around for a long time...I think 1985? I have always been paid out within 48 hrs of a request...direct to my bank account. No fees. I sent money via Western Union...they covered the wired fees. To date, I have no bad stories on them...so of all the risks in CR, I would bet with them. YMMV
