First timer going to jaco in mid feb. After reading a few postings about how hot jaco is what should I look for as far as a hotel with kick ass AC?

If you're not on a tight budget I would recommend Hotel Club Del Mar. It's 1st class and the A/C worked great there. It's just off the beaten path so you can enjoy peace, calm and relaxation with your chica which you won't have to pay extra to get her in your room. Yes it has a pool but who needs that since you can walk out your door and in a few steps you're on a beautiful sandy beach.

It is at the very end of Jaco (the end going towards Quepos). It's too long of a walk into the center of Jaco and only a 5 minute drive but it's kind of "isolated" which is why I referred to "peace and relaxation". As I recall my room (I had a 1 bedroom suite) was around $175 p/night. G&G ******* sent one of their girls to me there and there was no problem getting her in (no chica fees or anything like that). The air worked great and the apartment was spacious and very comfortable--full kitchen etc.

I just went to Jaco last week. Lasted one night withought AC then moved hotels. I stayed in the Paridise hotel. It has good AC and a pool. $55 for 2 beds. It is across the street from the Monkey bar. I'm not sure what there guest policy is.
