"Chasing Papi" is a good rental... especially if you need a wholesome dose of a sexual latina romp with some cute humor. All filmed in the USA with notables like Sophia Vergara...  it should giveyou some mild entertainment and curb your appetite till the next CR trip. This is CK giving you one thumbs up for this flick.

I haven't seen it but the review I got from a Caleña was it was pretty silly. Of course Sofia makes ANYTHING look good to me. Another good rental would be "Y tu Mama Tambien" ("And Your Mother, Too"), about 2 Mexican slackers who pick up an older woman and take her to the beach. Interesting 'coming of age' flick from a Latin perspective. It would have easily won the Oscar for best foreign film but the producer NEVER EVEN SENT IN THE FORM! |
