Hi Al, It is off season everywhere time shares included. In CR it is still summer as the sun hit the equator on Sept. 21 and is still really high down there. I will be in Jaco for a week Nov 12-Nov 19 and will post a report. My bet is alot of ticas are taking vacations in the off season. If not there is always my buddy's perfect woman. She is a deaf-mute who gives the best BBJ and is a local. How many women do the right thing and do not bi*ch, moan, and want to go shopping later? |

I will be there Saturday...but it has been VERY rainy over there the past month. It is also the off season...October being one of the lowest beach time months. I'm sure the Beattle Bar still has plenty of talent though.. |

I was in Jaco in Aug. Met a beautiful young lady at B Bar. Looked like Jewel without the bad tooth. Stayed at Hotel Cocal and casino. Very accomidating. No chica fee and smells of the weed wafting throughout and no problem. |

I was in Jaco for a couple days about a week and a half ago. The B bar was fairly hopping, with several to chose from. The price negotiation was a bit tougher, but $50-$60 was possible. When the Beatle bar slows, the Monkey bar gets rowdy with several locals and gringo surfers. The B bar is a totally different scene than the M bar. The B bar is hanging out, talking to chicas over a drink. The M bar is loud/packed and crazy. It's a bit more difficult to find a session there, but still possible. Personally, my trip to Jaco was worthwhile; it was a change of pace from downtown SJ. I took a walk on the beach, hung out at some local smaller establishments and relaxed a bit... and still had some good evening sessions. As far as accommodations... There's a Hotels almost directly across the street from the B Bar (I thinks it's Mirador or Parador, or something like that). The Hotel charges around $46 a night for a room with AC and around $35 for a room w/o AC. I would highly recommend the AC room. The rooms are outdated/old looking, and NO HOT WATER. There are some cabinas directly across the street from the B Bar for around $16-$20 a night. A guy I met stayed there and said it was suitable for the price. The place I haven't stayed at, but hear it's pretty good is the Paradise (around $50-$60 a night). Hope this helps, Book |

The Paradise hotel is definitely a bargain. I got an off season rate (Green Season) for $40. Which included the $5 tax. Is it still the rainy season in CR? I saw all the reports about a hurricane hitting Nicaragua, did the storm hit CR? The Copa in Jaco is nice too, but the price is at least double the Paradise. The suites for over a hundred have nice views off the ocean. They seem to have a chica fee, but I never paid it. Usually after 11pm there is no security or personnel to enforce the rule. Look forward to returning. Tux Bookumdanno where did you stay? Was there a CRT discount? I will drop you a PM later this week Bookumdammo, glad to hear you had a great time an returned safely. Tux |

Tuxedo, I'm staying at the Copa 11/9 - 11/12, I posted a question to Admin 1 and he e-mailed me that the Copa waives the Chica fee with the CRT Discount. I also got the 10% off of the room rates and am confirmed with a studio for about $70.00 a night. I'll give a report once I actually stay there. |

Searay. I stayed at Copa over Laborday and upon checkout the discounts were applied and guest charge slips were torn up, no problem at all. |

Thanks TDog, a wingman and I are making our newbie trip, I'm leaving in 7 hours and can't sleep. Luckily, I've been reading the board for about 2 months now (almost every night) so I feel somewhat prepared. |
