Had a great time today on the ATV tour.... check out the discounts for more info. Hey T and G-Man! It was a plesant surprise to meet you. Still having trouble with my internet connection upstairs.

Back to the tour..... leave your gals at the hotel. The owner caters to all experience level riders. If you are experienced tell him when you book the tour.

The course was a blast! My ATV was 4 wheel drive and had gears for extra fun. If you get the 4-wheel drive you will have "no problamo" cruising up the hills.

Any way! A great half day trip! Garry, even gave me an extra $5 off and only charged $70.

I would do it again!

I also tried the ATV tour. This is a great alternative for guys who just want a half-day diversion (and a time to store up some leche). The ATVs was fun and more physically challenging than I expected, but nothing too tough. My advice is to take the morning tour (less probability of rain), and if you have some experience with motor sports, bring a group with you so you can do some more of the steeper trails. Also, go through their website for the CRT discount. They will get back to you, but if you book through the hotel, you may not get the $10 off.

SCott and GMan...sure was a fun morning. My GF survived her accident with only minor bruises...think this is more of a mans sport outing...though it was fun for a while watching the girls get used to driving these things.

Kudos to Cary and crew for a well run business. Machines are in great shape. JUst come dressed for mud and dirt...especially during this rainy season. Looking forward to doing this with more of the CRT brethren. Let me know if you are going next visit...I can take you there.

Hmm, I wonder how a motorcycle would handle that mountain...

I went on an ATV tour over Labor Day. I have experience riding dirt bikes, ATVs and mountain bikes offroad. I've even raced a little. Just a warning to some people.... the most technical trails are just that... extremely technical. They are not for inexperienced riders. The guides do not speak english... so you must judge for yourself. FYI... I ended up flipping my ATV coming down a muddy decline. I accidentally hit my front brake as my rear wheel hit a rock. The ATV landed on me. I ended up in the hospital with bruised ribs all around my chest. They were really worried about my head and neck. So far no major problems. The first week I was really laid up. Ofcourse, I could still phuck chicas... my last 3 days were funny. Got lots of sympathy BBJs. However, it was been 6 weeks and I still hurt.

Coming in Nov 11 and staying until Nov 27. I think we will have enough CRT'ers there to make a small team and head out. That would be very cool.

Cary the onwer speaks english and headed the tour myself, T-man and Gamblin Man went on. There are different trails depending on the skill level of the riders. On our trip we had two tour guides. After making it to the top of the hill we divided up into two groups and headed back down the mountain. The group of experienced rider took some of the harder trails and did some faster riding.

We also had someone flip their ATV. They pretty much ran off the trail and went over head first. Only a bloody nose.... ATV was ok. The trails can be slippery when wet and it certainly adds to the rush as you skid down the hill sliding in the mud.

The trip is well worth the $75.00 and you will have a blast. Cary even took a DVD of us. I will go again on my next trip.

Sidenote! This ishould be a guys only tour! Leave the Chicas at home! You'll have more fun not worrying about the gals, most of who have never driven before!

I'll be in town Nov 17 - Nov 20 and this sounds like a great day trip. Where do you buy tickets for the tour? Hotel Del Rey lobby?

Boys,
I concur that ATV tours in the mountains is very cool, and it's a must do. But keep in mind that these are not toys. You have be careful.

On my first trip in June, my buddy and I took the tour in Jaco. It was about 10am and it started raining, so it got really slick. We were heading up the side of the mountain and I tried to avoid a big pothole/crater and veered left. As I tried to get back to the middle of the path, my back wheels slid left and over the side of the mountain, hanging over a (500ft?) cliff. Let me tell you, I was off that mofo in like 0.25 seconds. I didn't know I could move that fast. Once I was off, I crawled on my hands and knees and grabbed the ATV by the front grill and held on so it wouldn't go over the cliff. I started yelling and my buddy who was a little ahead of me ran over and helped me pull it up. That left me weak in the knees for the rest of he day. That was probably as close as I've ever come to death.

I am just telling the story to remind you to be careful, I wouldn't want to hear about anybody gettin hurt.
