Having spent many a night watching and listening to the 'rumblings' , sorry I was not there at ringside.

Man I love going there. Nice outdoor rest. in La Fortuna, just sit and watch long distance.

The best is parking around midnight at the gate of the Observatory, walking a couple of kilometers up to the base of the lava fields, take a bottle of wine, and just sit there for a few hours taking in the show.

The first time I did that, it sounds corny, but I was a different person. What an eartherial experience. Thanks for the info.

Isn't it interesting that they named that town 'fortuna". Costa Ricans sure do have a sense of humor.

Hola CR K'd,

As it turned out, it really was not, rpt not ,a great "Blow Job" by Arenal after all.

The caldera collapsed and let out quite a volumnuos "discharge' , nevertheless :lol:

Must have been taking 'Fo-Ti' in excess proscibed by the wise M.D.' s on this board. :)
Remember though, we should not insult and disrespect {DIS} the Gods of Nature. Arenal is one, I have listened to him[or her] many a night :o
