For anyone that's in the Dominical area and is looking for something to do, I highly recommend Don Lulo's horseback ride to Nuayaca Falls. You mount the horses on the road that runs between Dominical and San Isidro and then it's about an hour to an hour and a half on horseback to Don Lulo's ranch through some challenging terrain at times (just close your eyes and trust the horse). Then it's a typical Tico breakfast at the ranch before continuing the ride to the falls which is probably another 45 minutes to an hour. The Falls are really beautiful and BIG!! Spend about an hour or so at the falls swimming and climbing up the Falls for some great jumps and dives (I'll post a couple pictures this weekend). Then the ride back to Don Lulo's ranch for a Tico lunch (He's got Macaws there and Toucans some of which roam freely on the grounds and others in a large aviary). Then back on horse to the highway. Starts around 8:00 a.m. and I think I got back to my car between 2:30 - 3:00. It was a great way to spend a day and I believe it was $35 or $40. Highly recommend.
