Curious to see if anyone has been to this festival. I have been to limon and puerto viejo and don't recommend, would consider going back if this festival is any good.

Pacatelo,

I used to live in PV and went to the first couple. Curious as to what you don't recommend about the area...granted there are crackheads, but the genuine people compensate for the lowlifes---yes, the music is good in a small intimate setting and the organizers Wanda and Wolfe of Playa Chiquita Wolfe have good heart...

I simply said I don't recommend, did not say the place was horrible. I did not like the crackheads running around, the restaurants I tried were mediocre and the service was very slow. I just thought the place was run down and looked crappy, that is just my personal thoughts. I know others like it and I hope I did not dissuade anyone from checking out for themselves. Puerto Viejo is much nicer than Limon, now that place I really did not care for. I was just bored while in Puerto Viejo, I like to be able to get ripped and pound brew until the sun comes up and find putas at a moments notice, Jaco is more my speed. Like I said, I would consider going back to PV to check it out again if it is rocking during this festival.
