ok well theastros may be a shock to you, but their rotation is nice with clemens, pettitte, and oswalt...and lidge is the best young closer in the game....the cubs may steal it if prior and wood would ever stay healthy..
and about the white sox.....they are loaded with power first off...they got konerko, jermaine dye, frank thomas, carl everett, aaron rowand, juan uribe.....they got podsednik who stole 70 some bases last year.....they improved their rotation a lot....it's now buerle, freddy garcia, jose contreras, el dukay, and garland.....
I agree the Astros have a nice rotation, but in that band box they will still get hit...Who is # 4 and 5.....CUBS steal it..........I think they are a much better team up and down.....which lineup would you rather have..

If Wood and Prior can stay healthy our 3,4,5 are pretty solid with Zambrano, Maddux and either Rusch, Dempster or the K*ds they can call up...Guzman, etc.....bullpen is the big ????
As far as the Sox go....Contreras and El Sucko...you must be kidding........
Dye is a decent player but no Maggs.....Posednik can make things happen with his speed....but Carlos Lee was a pretty solid player also.....But the Big Skirt....He is about done...Konerko had a career year, lets see him do that again......
The one thing I can say for the Sox is they probably have the best bullpen is baseball...Takatsu, Hermanson, Vizcaino, Marte and Politte are gong to be very good.....
Can you tell I am a lifelong cub fan..although I do not root against the Sox, unless they play the Cubs...
McPhail has proven over the last couple of years that he is willing to spend at the trade deadline to improve..Aramis Ramirez and Randall Simon in '03...Nomar, Neifi Perez in '04..not to mention top line free agent signings and trades for Derek Lee, Greg Maddux, Michael Barrett, etc...Reinsdorf has not stepped up to the plate anything close to that.
Quite franjly the reason he has not (Can't blame him) average attendance in Sox Park (Horrible Neighborhood is around 20,000 to 40,000 average in Wrigley....
