I'll be staying at the Castillo in March. I'd be interested in mainly day trips (even if long) from there. Any suggestions for how to go about it? Are there tour offices near there or should I book something through the Castillo? Thanks!! |

Castillo/Amistad has a lady who can help with tours just inquire when checking in or the link below has been mentioned on the forum before for tours, if you want to search before you arrive. https://www.expedicionestropicales.com |

I have used Expediciones Tropicales and Viator to book trips that pick up and return to Castillo, but I would confirm when booking as some may pick up at other hotels like the Holiday inn, which is a short walk. The ET office is just down the street towards the Taormina if you want to visit and discuss in person. |

Didnt mean to bring up this old thread from 2023 LOL but I will be staying at Castillo Feb 19th for 7 days. Besides the chicas, tours are a must for me. I will see what they offer and update if any major changes or new tours. |

I book any and all tours through an app called Viator. There are others like it. You can search all the different tours, etc, book, pay and just put your hotel info and the guide will pick you up. I don't think I save anything, in fact I might even pay more, but the ease of shopping for tours and booking them, well in advance, is nice. Oh, and Viator is good for just about anywhere you go. Even in the USA. |

Arenal is a must see and very different than San Jose (many hot springs, much lower altitude with tropical climate + plenty of hot young tourist chics to at least catch some bikini views). |
