Hello all.

I will be heading down to Costa Rica next week with a friend from Canada. Looking forward to a great trip but one thing of big concern for us is watching the NHL first round playoffs that will be on whilst we are down there.

We have 3 nights in Jaco and 2 nights in San Jose.
Can anyone advise the best establishment in both these places that should cater to showing the hockey playoffs.

From my research and your feedback it appears we should be fine for watching the playoffs in San Jose..

But does anyone know of a sports bar in Jaco?

I have not been there but I am sure if you ask they will be happy to oblige you at Cocal or wherever you end up.

In Jaco, Surf Dogs bar should have the games on as well.

My buddy and I overdosed on playoff hockey at Dos Amigos in Jaco two years ago. Had a blast.. It's a block away from the Cocal. Have fun!

This is great to hear, although when weighing watching hockey and hanging out at the cocal pool, I think the latter will win everytime.

In Jaco, the Poseidon Hotel has a Sport's Bar upstairs with a number of TVs...watched some of the Olympics there a few years ago. Also has pretty good food.
