Just spent a great relaxing afternoon with 3 sweet Ticas. (Ok, get your minds out of the gutter)
Upon the reccomendation of a couple otra members, (who are NOT gay) :lol: I went to the salon today. Have never done this or even considered it in the states but went for a facial (not that kind) deep cleansing with the algae/sea salt mud mask and scalp massage,ahhhh. Then a manicure with nice hand massage,ooooh, after all that I said what the heck, give me a corto de pelo also- wash, conditioner, cut then washed again and blow dry. I feel like a new man and was there 2 hrs. for a whopping 45 bucks. I don't know but imagine it would cost at least 3-4 times as much at a nice salon/spa in the states.

I am becoming seriously concerned about you. A few days ago you were hanging out with a family of backpackers. And today instead of spending two hours at Zona Blue you get a makeover! There could be something too that story about strange substances coming out of the air conditioners at the hotel president.

I got a great hair cut / corto de pelo there - 9 bucks. A good place hooked onto Holiday Inn on the west side? I guess. Right on the way to and from Zona. The girls when I were there were pretty cute and really nice and professional.

I think I will try the facial next time. I have only given them it might be fun to get one....Haha Paco you set yourself up!

Lee this has been a bizzare trip to say the least...
Nucknfuts- no comment :shock:
Osgood- Texcdn has the "queer eye"- he wants to open a salon to make-up the putas and teach them how to dress before work, he was criticizing every badly dressed chica in the DR the other night- said he was going to get a fake badge and be Chief of the DR fashion police...

The place is Nia's Salon in the bottom of the Holiday Inn right across the Morazon park.

Is this place strictly by appointment or do they accept walk-ins? In terms of the facials, do they have facilities to do side by side or is it one customer per room?

Damn, knew it was only a matter of time before one of my "secret" places became known to the board. Glad you enjoyed it amigo. I go there every trip for a pedicure and manicure. The girls are cute and yes, they do accept walk-ins.

I must remind you that it will be February before you can say you've been going to Costa Rica more than a year. I'm happy to tell you it's only just beginning. In the years to come you will look back on this trip and think how normal of a trip it was.
