There is a nice inshore fishing also in Quepos for about $300 - $400 half day. I would be interested if we can get 1 or2 more. If we get enough we can take 2 boats and get a better rate. I will drive and we can split gas and tolls. No Experience necessary.

I could get us a deal in puerto jimenez, price depends on what we want to fish for, inshore full day i paid 350$ iirc was targeting roosters.
I have an awesome deal in panama close to cr border 200$ full day for yellowfin but i bring my own gear. In january mahi mahi and big tuna in panama at isla ladrones same captain but charges a bit more because it takes 2 hours to get to the island.

You guys may know this, but on the in-shore, make sure when you make your deal with the boat boss In Quepos that they agree to already have live bait on board when you board, and alot of it.

You wouldn't be the first guys who spent the first hour fishing for bait. Doesn't happen alot, but enough to give you this warning.

Every charter I ever booked included rod and tackle, bait, food and drinks...

I am open on the dates. The mangrove fishing out of isle de damas has snook, red snapper, mackerel... look it up on google. easy to get to, lots of fish and not very expensive. Tuna and rooster is off shore. we can set up for both if we get the interest. One day inshore and the next off shore.

For the mangrove fishing in Damas, I've used this local:

https://www.facebook.com/pages/Mangrove ... ef=profile

2777-6942 capitanmaco@gmail.com spanish helpful

He knows those canals, been there all his life.

For those who haven't, aside from catching fish, you'll see alot of wildlife including crocs, really cool, you'll be deep into it, reminded me of Bogart and Hepburn "African Queen".

Ok so tentatively it appears we have a total of 4 people going? anyone else interested? We are still flexible on what day but looks like SAT or Sunday is the best day for everyone.

Anyone else interested in fishing let me know!!!

Hey myself and my wing are 100% in but have no interest in fishing the canals if that is what is meant by "inshore" been there done that, also did the croc tour did the snook tour they where all small.

I want to fish for Roosterfish and things like that which I would consider inshore. I don't expect to run 28 miles to the rocks or further for the "corner" which is where most bill fishing and tuna fishing is going to happen but I'd like to do chase rooster fish and someone made a good point we should get them to catch the blue runners the night before as not to burn time on the charter.

I am open to spending $100 to $200 on this adventure.

For $233 per man x 6 I can charter a US based 40' sport fisherman with Captain out of Los Suenos That is the friend price they normally ask for $1800 + tip. so we can get it for $1400 including beer, lunch, ice, frozen bait - that boat specializes in Billfish which doesn't excite me that much but just throwing it out there. If we agreed to keep it to 20 miles each way (inshore) then it goes down to $1200 - still you need 6 guys to make it work. but its a real nice boat, AC brand new best of everything American Capt who wins tourney money running the boat.

Personally I think we should do 4 guys inshore for Roosterfish, I have all the tackle needed down to the rigs in our condo we just need a decent boat for 4 to be comfortable on - not into a wooden skiff or panga for this many guys we need a 25 to 28 footer I would think.
