| Post subject: | POKER Scene currently? |
Greetings to all, I was wondering if anyone could comment about the Poker games at the Del Rey, the Horseshoe or anywhere else in San Jose or even Jaco? I will be in San Jose for a while and then will be traveling a bit around the country. Anyone know of any other games out there? Thanks in advance, J. S. BACH |

I play at the Horseshoe when I'm down there and haven't played at the other places. It seems to be the earliest starting, usually around 2-2:30pm. Play can be slow if the ticos are on their phones but the table is usually more gringos than ticos. The action on the table seems to pick up the later it gets. They usually have two tables going later in the evening. The new Mona Lisa hotel says they will have poker and I plan on stopping by to check that game out. Last time I played at the Horseshoe, there were to guys from the Mona Lisa playing and they were pretty cool. |

Thanks for the info and I plan on posting back with the full report after playing. I also heard that there are games running at the San Jose Palacio Hotel and the Irazu Hotel and casino. Any one ever play in those games or know if these hotels are girl friendly? |
