Coming back to CR next month, part of our plans include a surfing contest in Jaco, Feb. 23,24. The website crsurf.com does not list what part of Jaco ( not Hermosa) the contest will be held. During my previous visit I saw the majority of the action just south of the Cocal. Does anyone know where the hold these contests and how big the crowds usually are? The contest is part of the Olympus National tour with up to 144 surfers involved. I sent them an email requesting additional info but have not gotten a response yet.
We are planning on staying at the Cocal so we should be near the action.
Any info will be of great help.
