Looking for some help on locating outdoor vegetable/fruit markets in the SJ area.
I hit the central market almost daily when in town and would like to wander around other markets in the area.

Its a bit of a trip but if you want to experience all the fun of negotiating with the locals at the market- over fruits, cheeses etc then head on out to one of the country towns. Atenas on Friday is a one good example. You gotta be there before midday though.

South of the Hotel Presidente (calle 7) 10 blocks(along railroad tracks) is a huge outdoor market Sat. am
