Hey just want to say I saw a dentist located about a block from Relax, near Ave. 10, Calle 13. I found him from staying at a hotel near the area. He's on Calle 13, East Side, and about twenty steps north of Ave. 10, with a blue sign above the door, and right next to the train tracks. He charged me $40 for a teeth cleaning, polish, and fluoride treatment. Service was great and he speaks English! Other Dentists in CR quoted me in the $50-70 range. |

Basic dental services like the ones mentioned aren't necessarily less expensive in Costa Rica; it's only when restoration and more extensive services/materials are to be done that the price difference kicks in. Here's an example of a place in the US that does such basic stuff cheaper than CR: http://www.yelp.com/biz/arizona-school- ... ealth-mesa Also I am not questioning your dental find's competence but is it really worth maybe $20-30 difference to use a hole-in-the-wall as compared with a larger-scale dental office? Yes I'm referring to a Sponsor, Smile 90210. Just wondering... |

According to "EHow Health" this is the average price charged for a cleaning. Note this is routine cleaning only and makes no mention of a fluoride treatment being included in the cost. Quote: Regular Cleaning Ranges from $50 to $135
Dentists set their dental cleaning fees based on where their practice is, according to Carter. That means that fees can vary by region. Nevertheless, a range exists as a national average, and regional prices will most likely be within that range. The national average for a teeth cleaning typically ranges from $50 to $135. |

Donde or tel #? Routine cleaning, meaning you have been cleaned in the last 18 months or less, is not nuero surgery. Naturally, this doesn't include diagnosing other problems root problems via x-ray which won't be included, but at $40 for a scrape, if you are fairly current, good price. |
