A Federal judge has just ruled that poker is not gambling because it's a game of skill, not chance. correct, it is a game of skill. This can be explained quite easily, My friend and I go to Foxwoods alot and play texas holdem....for some reason I usually make money (made several final tables in large tournaments) and he ALWAYS loses money (he sucks at poker). If it was strictly a game of chance, his chances of winning would be the same a mine so in the long term we should both win or lose the same which is not the case. |

Probably the Palacio, Casino out by or at Bestwestern Irazu and Colonial. Friend plays there and says it is a little easier to bully there. Just hearsay, only played at Palacio once or twice. But he does seem to do quite well. |

Texas hold em at the Horseshoe across from the HDR. Starts around 2pm if you want to find a game that gets going a little earlier. |

I highly recommend the Horseshoe game. The room managers are very accommodating and I was treated very well. This was last April. I will be spending another week in CR in January and will be playing there most days. I was not able to play a game at the Del Rey. Showed up one night and the game hadn't started and I didn't feel like waiting. |
