Can anyone recommend a few golf courses that would be accessible from the SL. Thank you.

Well, the only public course I know of is Valle del Sol in Santa Ana. If you go during rainy season make sure you get out early because there are no rain checks. You get a 10% discount with your SL key too I think.

The rest of the courses are a much longer drive to get to. Most out at the beach.

Right DR.

10% discount on anything and everything by showing your SL room key at Valle Del Sol Golf Course. 30-40 minutes from SL depending on traffic.

For an overview of CR's courses, see this: http://www.golfworldmap.com/centralamerica/costarica/ << good interactive map
The next closest course to San Jose's would be La Iguana at the Marriott Los Suenos, north of Jaco. Good course but pricey.

If you aren't a single digit, I'd bring ( a lot) of balls

lmao.... close enough!

As an aside, getting a caddy will knock a few strokes off too, they tell u where to hit your approach on the greens etc.. its always a blast!

I had good luck booking golf through Tee Times Costa Rica. Fabio does a really good job. He i a CR native and went to college in the Midwest. We played Cariari which is much tougher than Valle de Sol. I would recommend going to La Iguana in Jaco...Really good golf course. See website below.
