Are the casinos having any poker tournaments on Saturday? Or is it strictly cash games in the evenings?

Your best bet for a tourney would be the Bacelo Palacio poker room. They have small tournements most every day. You could also check the Horseshoe poker room for the advance requirements for the "free roll" they are running Sunday afternoon. You still have time to put in the hours required to play.

Man, I really want to get my feet wet again and start playing those Palacio tourneys. The Sunday night one is only a 5500 colone buyin and there are a lot of people there, including chicas from pokerstars. I know not interesting as most guys here play bigger stakes. Anybody know of a bus that you can catch that will drop off around that area? Also, the poker room in Irazu has a lot of tourneys throughout the week. Can't think of the name of that one though.

Heck, I've played 6 hours straight in a free, no money- no prize Full Tilt Poker tourney before. It was all worth it the one time in the game I was able to show a 2-7 off bluff.

To play for real money, one would have to dedicate their life to it. Remember every hand, dream about it etc.
