Dr Bob,who opened and grew the Del Rey poker game,is no longer employed there. It wasn't a friendly separation from what I hear third hand. It was a surprise to me since Bob and John were (and may still be) close buddies who traveled togother frequently. The game seems to be surviving with one or two tables every evening. (been starting around 5pm). The other people who were on the management team are still there. I'm told that the overall boss is now Gabriella who picks up even more responsibilities now.

The buzz about games seems to be on the game at the Palacio in the Barcello hotel. I only played the Grand opening tournament but I hear they are doing well.

It is located just off the airport highway about 1/2 mile from Sabana park & The Corbici hotel headed towards the airport. If you know where the Best Western Hotel & Denny's in La Uruca are it is about 1/2 mile before them.

thats too bad dr bob seemed to be a nice guy....hmmm must have been a falling out with John as a friend because John put him there in the first place.... I thought he did a good job, must have been over profit sharing .....money or something of that nature because I thought that was Johns best friend...

Well I guess there's no bad blood between Dr Bob and the powers at the DR. Last evening he played in the game for a while until it petered out. Then he was having a drink with Greg and a couple of other regulars. No problems noted.
