Not sure I'd rate it in the top 5 in Costa Rica, much less the world. Great for surf, but you don't want to swim there. Definitely beautiful beach, but by the time you drive there, to worn out to enjoy it. Good accommodations are hard to find with the amenities most of us want, at least within an acceptable price range. GREAT place for the 22 year old surfer or the more adventurous souls...but I'll take Manuel Antonio, Puerto Viejo, Montezuma, Jaco with Playa Hermosa and some Tamarindo beaches first. Easier to get to, better accommodations and in some cases nicer beaches. The unexplored mountains are what are calling to me now, like Chirripo National Park...hot springs, 12,000ft. peaks, waterfalls, wildlife...gotta get over that way soon!
