Me and 3 of my friends did a trip down to San Jose back in March 09 and had a blast with everything we did. One of the "outside" activities that we really enjoyed was a whitewater rafting trip down the pascua river. We are planning a trip back again but much later in the season somewhere around the end of July. Does anyone know offhand if this is a good or bad time to go whitewater rafting? I know the raining season doesnt get real bad til last 3 or 4 months of the year, but I'm no expert by far. Any input would be appreciated. |

You'll be going during the Veranillo. That should be an excellent time to go. The river should be recharged a bit from May and June rains but the weather should be relatively dry for those couple of weeks. The best of both worlds. |
