Post subject:  Is there a gym near the gulch?
Does anyone know if there's a gym or fitness center around the gulch? I can't think of a better workout then to hit the gym and then have a ZB girl pamper and spoil you afterwards. It makes the workout that more enjoyable.

From Del Rey. Go 4 and one half blocks west on first Ave. There is a large Tico Bar in the middle of the block. The gym is up above the Bar. It is on first Ave. Between Calle 1 and Calle Central. On the right hand side while heading West. They charge 1500 colones to work out. SEAHAWK

Multi-Spa has two locations near the gultch--one in the Radisson and the other on Calle 2 between Av 4 & 6 (near Parque Central and the Park Hotel).

The Radisson location has a pool. The Calle 2 location is easy walking distance from the gultch and has a good selection of equipment (by CR standards).

Don't know what the daily workout rates are but the monthly charge is c11,000. They gave me a complimentary weekly pass when I first moved down here. :wink:

The Calle 2 location is also over a tico bar (the 3rd to 6th floor).

I'm a personal trainer in Texas. The nicest gym I've visited in CR is Fitsimmons. It's a cab ride from the gulch, up-to-date facility, friendly staff.
