...or at least non-illegality or non-prosecution or ability to use Credit Cards to enable (I didn't get this exactly straight) has been assured for at least another 6 months, as the Treasury and the Fed have knuckled to the banks yet again (this time it works at least partially in the consumers' favor):

That anti-gambling bill in 2006 (that Bush piggybacked onto some terrorism bill) is complete horseshit. Nobody thinks that gambling is eroding the family values of America or that the money sent to Bodog or PokerStars is being funneled to terrorists. It's going into Calvin Ayre's pocket to pay for all his cars and ho's and shit. :lol: All it's doing is making the poker sites become more creative as far as how to accept deposits and payouts. It won't stop gambling. It's a waste of the government's time.

A better use of their resources would to open their own online poker site and tax it, which is what they are after.

That law was passed only because the US government hasn't figured out a way to effectively tax online gambling.
